Many of us still don’t know what the meaning of HCG diet is and where it originated. Though it is very popular as one of the world’s leading weight loss programs, few only know the true history of this method.
HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin is a substance found in a pregnant woman’s body.
The discovery of HCG was unexpected. In the year 1972 the presence of HCG in a pregnant woman’s urine was detected. HCG is highest level during the 14th week of pregnancy it also helps in developing baby’s genitals.
While in the 1950′s Dr. A.T.W Simeons discovered that some boys that were undergoing therapy were losing excess weight rapidly. He also notices that the persons that are in therapy did not experience any hunger. Since then Dr. Simeons dedicated his life in finding out what causes this. It was after Dr. Simeons discovery of HCG that people started to try out this program as means of a diet program. After this HCG had become a popular diet
